JLT Re appoints cat modeller

JLT Re (North America) has appointed Pei Wang as lead catastrophe modeller for the Canadian market.

Pei will be part of the catastrophe modelling team and based out of the Toronto office.

According to JLT Re, Pei will play a pivotal role in “assisting clients in gaining model insights, understanding the model changes, complying with OSFI B-9 requirements, and implementing advanced analytics to support business decisions”.

Having worked as an in-house catastrophe modeller for one of the largest insurers in Canada, and on the catastrophe modelling team of a major reinsurer, Pei possesses significant expertise in catastrophe modelling with particular proficiency for Canada,” said Eric Steen, executive vice president, JLT Re (North America).

“Pei’s experience will bring even greater value-added services to our clients, especially within the Canadian market,” he added.
