John Neal to take over as QBE’s CEO
QBE has announced that John Neal will take over as group chief executive officer, once the current boss, Frank O’Halloran, retires in August.
Neal, who is currently CEO of QBE's global underwriting operations, will also join the QBE board and work with O’Halloran during a six month handover period.
In a statement, Belinda Hutchinson, QBE’s chairman, acknowledged O’Halloran's hard work at QBE.
“Since taking on the role of group chief executive in 1998, Frank has been the architect of QBE’s international expansion and has grown premiums from around US$1.5 billion per annum to US$18 billion,” she said.
