Law firms must be transatlantic, says leading lawyer
The current state of the market requires law firms servicing the insurance and reinsurance industries to have a presence on both sides of the Atlantic, according to Clive O’Connell.
“I think that it is incredibly important for law firms to have a transatlantic element to them,” he says.
O’Connell is the former head of the commercial risk and reinsurance department at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert and has just been appointed as head of the new Goldberg Segalla office in London that opens in April.
He says that it was the ethos at Goldberg Segalla that attracted him to the company.
“I am looking forward to being given the chance to build a really good team around me,” he says.
