Lloyd’s has appointed Philip Godwin as head of claims, effective immediately.
Godwin has been part of the claims senior management team since joining Lloyd’s in September 2007.
According to Lloyd’s, he has played a leading role in implementing both the market oversight framework and the Lloyd’s claims proposition. During that period, Godwin has also successfully supported the market in responding to a range of complex global situations and spearheaded the development of the Lloyd’s Market Strategic Claims Group for which he remains chair.
The claims team will continue to have a dual objective of providing market oversight and delivering commercial support to stakeholders.
Tom Bolt, director of performance management said: “Philip has been an integral part of our claims developments over the past seven years. Along with the team here at Lloyd’s and our stakeholders across the market, I know Philip will continue to help lead and further develop the Lloyd’s claims proposition going forward.”
