Lloyd's broker Oneglobal eyes growth in Bermuda market with new chair
Specialist independent Lloyd's broker and delegated authority specialist Oneglobal has named a new chairman for its business in Bermuda.
Dennis Mahoney (pictured right) will join Oneglobal Bermuda with immediate effect. He is a former chairman of Aon Global and served on the board of Ironshore before it was sold to Liberty Mutual. He is also a former president of the Insurance Institute of London, a former chairman of World Insurance Network and a former board member of ACORD.
Most recently, Mahoney served as executive chairman of RFIB prior to its sale to Tysers.
He is a resident of Bermuda and has lived there since 2007, and serves on the board of Oakley Capital Management.
Jonathan Palmer-Brown (pictured left), Oneglobal chairman, said Mahoney's energy and international network will greatly accelerate the company's plans in Bermuda and beyond. “As Oneglobal's ambitious growth plans continue, Dennis will bring senior leadership and huge experience to our existing Bermuda operation which has already achieved considerable success,” he said.
