Lloyd’s to hunt for new Asia CEO following exit for WTW after 11 years

Insurance and reinsurance marketplace  Lloyd’s has appointed an interim chief executive officer of Lloyd’s Asia following the departure of Thomas Haddrill to join broker  WTW for an “exciting new role” in the UK.

Haddrill, who has been with Lloyd’s since September 2011 and became Asia CEO and country manager for Singapore in March last year, is making a comeback to the UK to join WTW as regional head of broking for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA).

Mark Dyson (Pictuired), Lloyd’s CFO for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, will take over the responsibilities of CEO Lloyd’s Asia & country manager Singapore on an interim basis until a replacement has been found.

Dyson joined Lloyd’s in February 2020 as head of tax, before progressing to CFO Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa in 2022.

“With Thomas Haddrill moving back to the UK for an exciting new role after eleven years with Lloyd’s, I will be covering as CEO, Lloyd’s Asia & Country Manager, Singapore until a new appointee can take the reins,” Dyson revealed.

“Looking forward to working on even more incredible initiatives with the amazing teams we have in Singapore and across the Lloyd’s market,” he said in a statement on LinkedIn.
