The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has appointed five new members to its board with effect from May 17.

The new members, who will serve a term of three years, include Neil Maidment, chief underwriting officer (CUO) of Beazley Furlonge; Paul Jardine, CEO of Catlin Underwriting Agencies; Matthew Wilson, CEO of Brit Syndicates; Tom Clementi, CEO of MS Amlin Underwriting; and Julian Tighe, CEO of Asta Managing Agency.

The association also announced that Beazley's CUO Maidment will continue to serve as chairman of the LMA.

LMA’s CEO, David Gittings, said: "The high standard of leading market figures putting themselves forward has enabled us to assemble an impressive Board, whose combined knowledge and experience is an invaluable asset to the LMA.

"Our Board is highly influential in the Lloyd’s market, offering a broad range of expertise, and representing almost 60 percent (over £17 billion) of overall market capacity."
