Manchester Underwriting enters casualty business with hires from QBE

Specialist managing general agent (MGA) Manchester Underwriting Management has appointed Antony Broome and Pat Wood as joint managing directors of its newly-created casualty division.

Both the executives will work on specialty casualty products that will be launched soon across the UK, the company said.

Broome will be based the company's Manchester office and continue to expand its regional operations, while Wood will join the London office starting May 2.

Both Broome and Wood previously worked for DA Constable (Syndicate 386), which became a part of QBE.

CEO Charles Manchester commented: "Manchester Underwriting Management is about providing brokers with quality products, fantastic service and first class security. Our underwriters make decisions and we provide a great claims service.
