NexAssure launches London MGA for European expansion

Speciality insurance provider NexAssure Group said Aug. 23 that it is set to open a specialist managing general agent, NexAssure Agency (UK) in London.

The company has appointed senior underwriter Mark Angel to lead the new business as head of speciality and promote the company’s expansion into Europe and Middle East. Angel joins the NexAssure London office from the WhiteOak Underwriting Agency where he was chief underwriter.

“Mark is a well-known and highly regarded warranty underwriter. Appointing someone of his quality to our new London office, demonstrates our commitment to provide best in class client services and solutions. Our expansion into these new regions reinforces our growth ambitions,” said Anthony Hobrow, CEO of NexAssure Group.

NexAssure provides reinsurance capacity, consulting, policy and claims administration for niche products. It has operations in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore writing business across the Asia and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.
