Q-Re reveals management team
Q-Re has released details of its new management team, led by chief executive Gunther Saacke, and the positions they will hold.
Former Swiss Re and Novae Re executive Willi Schuerch has been made chief underwriting officer; Mark Cockroft, formerly of GE Frankona and Endurance, has been named chief actuary; and Peter Frei, whose former companies include Winterthur Re and PartnerRe and who helped establish European catastrophe index PERILS AG, has been made head of underwriting and risk.
Peter Bitterlin, previously of Winterthur Re and PartnerRe, has been appointed head of energy; Alain Chiolero, formerly of Swiss Re, PartnerRe and Converium, has been named head of property-catastrophe business; and former XL Re executive Patrick Cove has been named branch manager of Zurich and head of aviation and marine.
