The chief financial officer (CFO) of R+V Versicherung, the privately-owned German re/insurer, is set to retire.
Rainer Neumann, who has spent over 21 years as CFO, will be succeeded by Marc Michallet.
Neumann introduced the finance department and was responsible for the investments of the R + V group.
Dr. Friedrich Caspers, chief executive officer of R + V, said that Neumann’s expertise had helped improve the financial strength of the company in the long term. He said: “He has ensured that R + V is now one of the financially strongest insurance companies in Germany."
