RGA, RenRe-backed Langhorne Re hires new CEO from PartnerRe
Bermuda-based Langhorne Re, a global reinsurer targeting large in-force life and annuity blocks, has hired Marvin Pestcoe as its new executive chair and chief executive officer (CEO) from PartnerRe.
Langhorne Re was launched in January 2018 by Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) and RenaissanceRe Holdings (RenRe).
Pestcoe was most recently chief risk and actuarial officer at Partner Reinsurance Group (PartnerRe) and served on the company’s executive committee. Prior to that role, he held a number of senior management positions at PartnerRe, including CEO Life & Health, chief investment officer, and head of strategic ventures.
In his new role, Pestcoe will be responsible for leading Langhorne Re’s strategy and operations in Bermuda.
