Skuld lures Guy Carp exec
Marine insurer Skuld has appointed Simon Neale as class underwriter for offshore energy.
He will be based in London and will head the energy team at Skuld 1897, Skuld’s Lloyd’s syndicate. James Leeper will continue in his current interim role to ensure a smooth transition.
Neale joins from Guy Carpenter, where he served as a senior vice president. Prior to this, he held roles at Aon Re and JLT Re.
Ståle Hansen, Skuld president and chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon as our energy class underwriter. Simon has extensive knowledge of the sector, particularly in facultative reinsurance. He has an excellent reputation in the market and is a great addition
Neale added: “I’m excited to be joining Skuld 1897, a strong Lloyd’s platform with a strong reputation. The syndicate’s ambition, expertise and leadership, combined with Skuld’s financial standing, provide clients with an outstanding service standard.”
