Star-studded line up of speakers at PCIAA

David Sampson, president and CEO of PCIAA, has praised the quality and quantity of speakers lined up for this year's event.

On Monday at 10:30am, Joseph Murphy, who was appointed commissioner of the Massachusetts Division of Insurance in 2010, will give a talk titled "The State of the Insurance Industry'. This will be followed at 1:15am by a distinguished panel of chief executives who will discuss the challenges facing their indusry. Moderated by Howard Mills, director and chief adviser in the insurance industry group at Deloitte, the panel will comprise Joseph Brandon, executive vice president at Alleghany Insurance HOldings; Mike McGavick, chief executive of XL Group; Jamie Tamayo, president ant CEO of MAPFRE USA and Benjamine Walter, chief executive of Hiscox USA.

Other speakers worth looking out for include Robert O’Neill, a former Navy SEAL with more than 16 years of experience, who will discuss leadership in a crisis in a session called ‘Leadership, Teamwork, Never Quit’; and Michael Chertoff, the former secretary of homeland security, whose goal was to provide risk-based protection against the most significant threats to the US.
