Swiss Re appoints new head to drive Hong Kong & Taiwan business
Global reinsurer Swiss Re has appointed a new head of client markets to drive its business in the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.
Anna Lee (pictured) will take on the role in September, succeeding Xinmei Zheng.
In addition to her new role, Lee will continue as head of new business development for property & casualty (P&C) reinsurance SID, focused on building and developing new business opportunities in the region.
Swiss Re said Lee is deeply familiar with the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets, having held several leadership roles since joining the company in 2003, including head of P&C reinsurance for Hong Kong and Taiwan, head of P&C business services for Asia and recently head of new business development for SID.
"Hong Kong and Taiwan are important markets for Swiss Re in Asia, each with their own unique risk landscape. We look forward to having Anna drive our business in this region, working closely with our clients to develop reinsurance solutions that meet their individual needs," said Victor Kuk, head of P&C reinsurance SID, Swiss Re.
Kuk added: "At the same time, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Xinmei Zheng for her contribution to Swiss Re since joining in 2008. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors."
