Swiss Re Corporate reveals new Greater China CEO joining soon from AIG

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the primary insurance arm of global reinsurer  Swiss Re, has hired a new chief executive officer of Greater China from American International Group (AIG).

Jeffrey Pan (pictured) will take up the role of CEO Greater China for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions with effect from April 11. In his new role, Pan will also be a member of the Corporate Solutions APAC executive team and he will be based in Shanghai.

Pan joins Swiss Re from AIG, where he spent 17 years of his career serving in several senior roles and was most recently general manager of AIG International Consulting (Shanghai). He was also vice president and China head of corporate planning & investment and digital marketing.

Before joining AIG, Pan worked at Gen Re, a reinsurance unit of Berkshire Hathaway Corp and PICC.

Jeffrey has extensive experience working in multi-cultural MNC environments within China. The combination of his commercial and consumer insurance experience as well as digital distribution expertise saw him as an ideal candidate for the role.
