Swiss Re Corporate Solutions appoints Smith as head of contract surety Canada

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Conor Smith as head of contract surety Canada.

Based in Toronto, Smith will be responsible for growth, strategy and underwriting for the new local surety business across Canada.

He was most recently assistant vice president, surety solutions at Hub International, and previously worked at CNA as senior surety underwriter.

"I am thrilled to have someone with Conor's experience and calibre joining our team to set up a new local surety unit in Canada," said Adrian Hall, CEO Canada, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. "Conor brings a solid track record in contract and commercial bonding with a strong customer focus as we commence our drive to provide local client-centric surety solutions."
