Swiss Re Corporate Solutions hires RSA exec as CEO of Canada

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the commercial insurance arm of Swiss Re Group, has appointed Adrian Hall as CEO of Canada.

In this role, Hall will be responsible for managing the company's strategy, development and performance, while continuing to build Corporate Solutions' presence in the Canadian commercial insurance market.

Based in Toronto, Hall will assume his new role from May 1, and will report to the CEO of North America at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ivan Gonzalez.

Hall has previously held various leadership positions in the UK, Latin America, the Middle East, and most recently as chief customer officer and vice president of RSA in Canada.

"Canada is the 7th largest commercial insurance market in the world, and it is continuing to grow – particularly in industries, such as infrastructure, manufacturing and energy, where we have significant expertise," Gonzalez commented. "Appointing an executive of Adrian's calibre demonstrates our commitment to both building our business and enhancing our client service in the country."

Hall will also join the North America management team and be appointed chief agent of the Westport Insurance Corporation Canada branch.

"Adrian brings a strong business track record and broad insurance experience across countries and lines of business," Gonzalez added. "He will be instrumental in the implementation of our primary and lead placement strategy, at a time when Canadian corporations are increasingly sophisticated and risk managers demand both domestic and multi-national service capabilities."
