Trust Re appoints two non-executive directors to board

Bahrein-based re/insurer Trust Re has appointed Fetooh Al Zayani and Kai-Uwe Schanz as independent non-executive directors for a three-year term.

Schanz is the chairman and founding partner of Zurich-based Dr. Schanz, Alms & Company AG, advising financial services organisations around the globe. His experience in global reinsurance include senior management roles at Swiss Re and Converium in Zurich and Hong Kong such as chief economist (Asia-Pacific) and chief communication and corporate development officer.

Kamel Abunahl, chairman of the board of directors, said: "We are proud to welcome both Fetooh Al Zayani and Dr. Kai-Uwe Schanz to our Board of Directors, both of whom are professionals of excellent repute within our industry.

"Trust Re is fully committed to corporate governance, in line with best international practices, and the two recent appointments are testament to this."
