Willis Re appoints APMETA West director
Willis Re, the reinsurance division of Willis, has appointed Robert Wildbore as regional director of its Indian Sub-Continent, Middle East, Africa and Turkey (APMETA West) operations.
Wildbore’s most recent role was in Toronto, where he established Willis Re’s operations in Canada.
He is based in London and will work closely with Willis Re’s local treaty reinsurance teams across the APMETA West region. The operations are part of the wider Willis Re APMETA team led by managing director, Maurice Williams, in London.
Williams said: "Robert has a successful track record in establishing and growing the Willis Re franchise internationally. Under his guidance Willis Re will continue to invest in building resources in the APMETA West region to match our clients' growth and their constantly evolving and increasingly sophisticated risk management needs."
Wildbore added: "The APMETA region has delivered impressive growth for Willis Re and I look forward to working with our regional teams to expand Willis Re’s offering, building on our existing strong service capability for our clients."
