Willis Towers Watson snags transportation leader from rival Marsh

Willis Towers Watson has hired a new transportation leader for its Risk & Broking division in Great Britain from Marsh.

Anthony Monaghan (pictured) will be responsible for all aspects of transportation, as well as supporting the efforts of the GB retail transportation practice led by Mike Georg. He will also work closely with WTW’s global marine and aerospace lines of business in respect of GB.

Monaghan joins WTW from Marsh where he most recently led its manufacturing & automotive industry. Prior to MMC’s acquisition of JLT, he was Marsh’s transportation leader for the UK and Ireland.

In his new role, Monaghan will report to Michael Johnston, who leads WTW’s strategic sales and industry team in GB. Johnston also joined WTW from Marsh, where he was sales leader for the large account (RMP) division for the UK and Ireland.

Johnston said: “Anthony’s passion for Transportation and depth of experience will further strengthen our excellent capabilities in this hugely diverse and important sector. We are really excited about getting Anthony on board.”
