WR Berkley hires former Navigators reinsurance COO Daniel Westcott

Property/casualty insurer WR Berkley Corporation has appointed Daniel Westcott as new president of its Berkley Re America unit.

Westcott has over 20 years of experience in the property casualty reinsurance market. He was most recently chief operating officer, reinsurance, at the Navigators Group, based in Stamford, Connecticut. Prior to that, he worked for reinsurance broker Willis Re and before that with Guy Carpenter.
