QBE appoints group head of sustainability in ESG push
Re/insurer QBE has appointed a new group head of sustainability to further develop its strategy across its three key focus areas.
In her new role, Nicola Schroder will be responsible for sustainability governance, strategy implementation, human rights, and modern slavery initiatives and driving social impact through the QBE Foundation.
Schroder has 20 years of experience spanning engineering, property, banking, and insurance sectors. In her most recent role as head of environment and transition, she was responsible for the development of a net-zero operations roadmap. In her five years at QBE, Schroder has helped advance the company's sustainability goals. QBE will begin recruitment to fill her previous position.
Schroder is also a member of the UNEPFI principles for sustainable insurance board, QBE’s AUSPAC foundation committee and the ICA’s climate and resilience committee.
