TWIA could cut reinsurance need to $2.3bn under new funding regime

The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association TWIA, the state's residual insurer, could cut its reinsurance requirement for the 2026/7 season to $2.3 billion under the new adjusted funding regime enacted for legislators, a draft budget for the group has indicated.
