TWIA may up reinsurance purchase by 43% for 2025 season

The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) will likely need to increase its reinsurance limit by some 43% to nearly $5.8 billion in 2025 as its mandatory probable maximum loss (PML) rises 20% and it faces down the next hurricane season with depleted reserves.
