US insurance job counts surge in 2025 as P&C carriers reengage

Employment in the broad US insurance industry may have surged by over 17,000 jobs already in 2025, with P&C carriers possibly joining the drivers of a jobs rally underpinned to date more by brokerage and agencies, a preliminary jobs reading by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has indicated.
