AXIS Capital profit jumps in Q2 amid pivot to specialty lines

Bermuda-based global re/insurer  AXIS Capital’s profit surged substantially in the second quarter, fuelled by improvements in the insurance segment and rising interest rates for its investment portfolio. The company capitalised on “favourable market conditions” across the majority of its lines, leading to steady growth in its target markets.
