Broker Venbrook makes new leadership appointment

US-based insurance brokerage firm Venbrook has appointed Lou Levinson as the president of its wholesale division, Venbrook Specialty Services.

In his new role based in California, Levinson will be responsible for leading the company's wholesale division's growth strategy, and oversee all operations.

Levinson most recently served as the president of IFG's wholesale insurance group.

His previous positions include president of Argo group's excess and surplus lines division including Colony Specialty and Argo Pro; president of casualty at Ace/Westchester Specialty; vice president of sales and marketing at Fireman's Fund; and multiple management positions at Chubb.

"Lou is one of the most well respected leaders in the industry. His wealth of experience and knowledge will be an invaluable asset to Venbrook as we continue to expand in the specialty market," said Jason Turner, CEO of Venbrook. "I have no doubt Lou will grow Venbrook's market relevance, offerings and brand recognition. We're thrilled he's on board."

Levinson added: "Venbrook's approach to the middle market is exceptionally strategic and innovative. The company's tremendous success, momentum and growth potential is a clear reflection of Jason, the stellar management team and talent, as well as an infectious entrepreneurial culture. I'm extremely excited to join the company."
