LMA hires from The Channel Syndicate for delegated authority role

The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has appointed Tom Hamill as a senior executive, underwriting.

In this role, Hamill will lead on all delegated authority matters – including binding authorities, lineslips, consortia and other facilities – being dealt with across the market, from underwriting and claims to operations and compliance.

Hamill joins from The Channel Syndicate, where he served as delegated underwriting coordinator.

Prior to this he held underwriting and claims roles at Amlin.

David Gittings, LMA chief executive officer, said “I am delighted to welcome Tom to the LMA. His background and experience will be a valuable asset to enhance the LMA’s offering in this important business sector”.
