Marsh taps Accenture exec as global head of cyber risk consulting

Insurance broker Marsh has appointed Kevin Richards to a newly created role of global head of cyber risk consulting.

Richards joins Marsh from Accenture where he most recently led its North America security practice and its global security strategy & risk practice.

In his new role, Richards will be responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of Marsh’s cyber risk consulting business worldwide, while collaborating with its regional and local cyber risk experts as well as its cyber insurance brokerage teams.

Richards will be based in Chicago and report to Michael Poulos, president of Marsh risk consulting and global head of client advisory services.

Poulos commented: “Through his proven track record of building and protecting the critical information assets of organisations globally, Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in information security that will enable us to advise our clients on solutions and strategies needed to meet the rapidly evolving cyber risk landscape.”
