PartnerRe looks to grow global protection business with new partnership

Bermuda-based reinsurer  PartnerRe has integrated a new digital platform to help automate and streamline its underwriting processes, and grow its protection business globally.

The new collaboration marks iPipeline UK’s first platform integration with a reinsurer.

iPipeline provides low code / no code content-enabled digital solutions and services to the financial services industry. Its SSG Digital Platform is a self-serve solution that supports the entire customer onboarding and servicing journey for protection, investments, annuities and pensions products. Its underwriting module reduces operational costs and increases efficiencies through its automation and self-serve capabilities maximising online acceptance and business take up.

By adopting iPipeline’s platform PartnerRe can host multiple insurer underwriting philosophies in a single engine and facilitate fully underwritten comparison capability. It also gives PartnerRe access to a far more flexible and insurer-centric approach to multi-insurer underwriting.

Ian Teague (pictured left), UK group managing director at iPipeline, described the collaboration as a strategic long-term relationship that will drive mutual value for both parties.
