SterlingRisk appoints chief strategic relations officer

SterlingRisk Insurance, an independently-owned insurance brokerage, has named Robert Larocca chief strategic relations officer to broaden its carrier and market relationships.

In his new role, Larocca will utilise his experience and strong ties in the insurance community to enhance the company's relationships with existing and prospective carriers, clients, clients, government organisations and vendors.

He will retain his title of executive vice president and continue to report directly to SterlingRisk CEO David Sterling.

Prior to joining SterlingRisk in 1999, Larocca held the position of Long Island branch manager for American International Group (AIG) after having served as assistant vice president at Johnson & Higgins. He began his career in 1991 as an insurance broker with Marsh & McLennan in New York.

Sterling said: “It has been an honor to work with Rob for over 20 years. He has directly contributed to the growth of our agency, playing a key role in achieving our vision and broadening our marketplace opportunities."
