Lloyd’s broker Tysers has appointed Stuart Blakeborough as chief operating officer (COO).
Blakeborough joins Tysers from Lancashire Insurance Group where he was COO. Prior to this, he worked at Hardy Underwriting Agencies and Aon.
Chris Elliott, Tysers’ chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted that Stuart is joining our senior management team. His leadership and knowledge in both broking and underwriting operations will be a great asset as we continue to work towards the future growth and development of the group.”
Blakeborough added: “I am looking forward to this new challenge and was drawn to Tysers by its excellent long-standing reputation in the market and the considerable potential the company has for the future. It is an exciting time to join Tysers and I look forward to contributing to its development.”
Recently, Mark Walters, the managing director of aviation at Tysers, left the company to head aviation as an executive director at Arthur J Gallagher.
