XL Catlin poaches Beazley exec for international financial lines

Re/insurer XL Catlin has appointed Yera Patel to the position of global practice leader for international financial lines claims.

Based in London, Patel will be responsible for managing a team of technical practice leaders, driving the resolution of XL Catlin’s international financial lines claims.

Patel joins XL Catlin from Beazley Group where she worked for nearly 11 years, based in New York and London. Most recently, she held the role of global claims team leader for political risk, terrorism & contingency (PCG) and management liability. She joined Beazley in July 2006.

Anthony Vidovich, XL Catlin’s global head of claims, said: "Providing market leading claims service is what our clients have come to expect from us. Yera shares our commitment and has the experience to ensure we keep delivering for our International Financial Lines clients. She will join our Global Claims Leadership Team and I am delighted to welcome her to XL Catlin."
