BMS nabs Chubb leader to build out diversity and inclusion programmes

Re/insurance broker  BMS will bone up on the G of its ESG game, bringing in a long-time diversity program builder from Chubb as its own group head of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

Louisa Erwin (pictured) comes to BMS from Chubb where she had founded Chubb's first DEI Council in 2016 and has designed and delivered regional diversity, equity and inclusion strategies across 24 national markets.

BMS global human resources director Roanne Gibbs said: “Progress towards ensuring BMS is a truly equitable working environment continues to develop at pace, but there is always more that we can do as an organisation. Louisa is an extraordinarily driven diversity, equity and inclusion executive. She has a real passion for working within this arena and will be invaluable to us as we continue to expand our DEI efforts. We are delighted to welcome her on board.”

Erwin added: “I look forward to joining a company like BMS which has ambitious and actionable plans for furthering diversity, equity and inclusion efforts within the insurance industry. In my new role, I will work closely with senior leadership to assist them with furthering this ambition, building upon the excellent work that has already been accomplished.”
