Endurance appoints executive vice president
Endurance Specialty Holdings has appointed Gary Tully as executive vice president and head of the company's Contract Binding Operations insurance unit.
Throughout his 35 year career, Tully has held a number of senior underwriting, marketing and management roles with responsibility for diverse specialty insurance operations at both carriers and brokerages.
Tully joins Endurance from Wells Fargo Insurance Service USA, where he was managing director and senior vice president since 2004. Prior to joining the brokerage, Tully spent five years at Kemper Insurance, first as president and chief executive of Kemper Financial Protection where he helped found Kemper Financial Insurance Solutions Company and then in the Office of the chairman overseeing Lumbermen's Mutual.
He started his insurance career at Chubb Group of Insurance Companies where he progressed through a number of underwriting roles, serving as chief executive of Chubb Executive Risk Company from 1995-1999.
"With Gary's wide network of agency relationships and broad product knowledge, I am confident that he will lead our Contract Binding Operation unit to the next level, introducing new products that offer broader coverage to our current accounts and expanding our nationwide distribution network. I also have no doubt that our insurance leadership team will benefit from Gary's depth and breadth of industry experience," said Jack Kuhn, chief executive of Global Insurance.
