PhilNaRe announces resignation of key officer

PhilNaRe, the National Reinsurance Corporation of Philippines (NRCP), has confirmed that Jeffrey Lacson, its vice president and head of finance, has resigned from the company with effect from March 20.

Lacson is leaving NRCP to "seek other employment opportunities", the corporation stated in a securities and exchange commission filing.

The company has appointed Claudia Karen Fidelino as officer-in-charge of finance department. Her appointment is effective from March 20, 2017.

Lacson was appointed as vice president in October 2016. He joined the company in November 2010 as deputy head of internal audit, and was promoted as head (chief audit executive) in June 2012.

As head of finance, Lacson was responsible for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, including the development of financial and operational strategy.
