RGA appoints chief risk officer
Reinsurance Group of America has appointed Todd Larson to the position of chief risk officer.
Previously, Larson served as executive vice president, corporate finance and treasurer.
Larson has been part of RGA's management team since he joined RGA in 1995 from Northwestern Mutual, where he held the position of assistant controller. Prior to that, he worked in KPMG's insurance practice.
"Todd is perfectly suited to the responsibilities of the chief risk officer, primarily due to his extensive experience dealing with RGA's financial reporting and capital management issues. He has also been intricately involved in new-transaction risk assessment, and has a high-level understanding of RGA's operations," said Jack Lay, senior executive vice president and chief financial officer.
