Aon hires three senior analysts in Reinsurance Solutions

Re/insurance broker  Aon has expanded its London-based business intelligence unit within Reinsurance Solutions, with the hiring of three experienced analysts.

Paris Hadjiantonis has been named as a senior analyst, reporting to Mike Van Slooten, head of business intelligence. In addition, Oliver Troop and Ludovico van Wijk have been named as financial analysts, reporting to Marie Teissier, who leads the firm’s client analysis initiative. Troop joins with immediate effect, and Hadjiantonis and van Wijk will join the firm in September.

Hadjiantonis joins from Exane BNP Paribas, where he was executive director, equity research – insurance, leading coverage of the reinsurance and global commercial insurance sub-sectors. Prior to this role, he was a vice president at both Credit Suisse International and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.

Troop joins from Autonomous, where he had been vice president, European Insurance since 2015, serving as an equity analyst. Before joining Autonomous, he was an investment consultant at Towers Watson, where he focused on liability-driven investment strategies.

Van Wijk joins from Nomura, where he was an associate in the investment banking division, engaged in corporate finance activity in the Continental European insurance market.

Aon said it will continue to significantly invest in insurance capital expertise to enhance the firm’s ability to assess and respond to client needs through a deeper market understanding. Aon’s business intelligence team supports and connects client teams, and in turn supports the firm's strategy to enable insurers to drive growth, effectively deploy capital and deliver operational efficiency.

Nick Frankland, UK CEO of Reinsurance Solutions, said: “These three new analysts will enable us to deepen our understanding of our clients’ strategies and to increase the immediacy of our response to any emerging issues. Our greater capability in this space will provide our own teams and our clients with broader services and greater insights and, as such, represents an exciting expansion of our offering.”

Van Slooten added: “Business Intelligence has a key role to play in tracking and reporting on industry developments, analyzing the various pressures on management teams and connecting clients to expertise across Aon. I’m excited by the potential of the expanded team.”
