Aon poaches DUAL exec to boost UK reinsurance unit

Aon has strengthened the UK leadership team for its reinsurance solutions business with a new hire.

Ben Love assumes responsibility for client growth strategy at Aon in the UK. He joins from reinsurer Tamesis DUAL where he was director of underwriting since 2018.

Before that Love spent more than 10 years at insurer Hiscox in a variety of senior positions, most recently as head of business development at Hiscox Re. He also spent ten years in reinsurance broking, starting his career at Greig Fester and then becoming part of Benfield, until he joined Hiscox. His career has seen him work in London, Boston and Bermuda.

In his new role Love is based in London, reporting to Nick Frankland, chief executive officer of reinsurance solutions in the UK.
Frankland said: “With more than 20 years of experience in the reinsurance industry across underwriting, broking and third-party capacity management, [Love] is well positioned to understand our clients’ needs in a rapidly evolving marketplace.”
