HDI Global appoints chief financial officer from KPMG

Industrial lines insurer HDI Global has hired a KPMG executive as its new chief financial officer and a member of its management board.

HDI is a subsidiary of Hannover-based Talanx Group and a sister company of Hannover Re.

Clemens Jungsthöfel will succeed Ulrich Wollschläger, who will step down at the end of June and begin his retirement.

In his new position as CFO, Jungsthöfel will be responsible for controlling, investments, risk management, corporate development and passive reinsurance.

Jungsthöfel joins HDI from the audit and consulting firm KPMG where as a partner he is currently responsible for providing auditing and consulting services to insurance companies. He is an auditor, tax consultant and an insurance practitioner.

Wollschläger has been working in various management functions at the Talanx Group. Since 2007, he has been a member of the management board of HDI Global. Previously, he held a number of roles including member of the management board of Gerling-Konzern and a senior position at the BASF Group.
